One World Everybody Eats is joining the global pay-it-forward day movement. On April 28th, 2019 countries across the world will unite with one common goal: to stand for kindness together.
“Taking inspiration from author Catherine Ryan Hyde’s Pay It Forward movement, Blake Beattie started Pay It Forward Day in 2007 as a celebration of how one small act of kindness can make a big impact in the world. After beginning in Australia, the day now spreads love and happiness in over 85 countries. It may only lasts 24 hours, but organizers hope Pay It Forward Day inspires ever community to #standforkindness all year long!” — Global Pay-It-Forward Day (www.globalpayitforwardday.com).
Here are three ways you can pay-it-forward at a One World Everybody Eats cafe:
Dine with us. Join us for breakfast or lunch at one of nearly 50 pay-what-you-can cafes. At our cafes, everyone is welcome regardless of means. Find a community cafe near you at www.oneworldeverybodyeats.org.
Sign up to Volunteer. Our nonprofit community cafes use volunteers to the maximum extent possible. It’s part of how we engage our community. Sign up to volunteer at one of our independent nonprofit community cafes. Find a cafe near you at www.oneworldeverybodyeats.org.
Donate online. One World Everybody Eats is working to educate and equip independent non-profit community cafes to build and feed their community. Consider donating online to help launch more community cafes. Find out more at www.oneworldeverybodyeats.org/donate.
There are countless ways you can spread kindness on Pay-It-Forward Day. One World Everybody Eats hopes you will spend part of your day at one of its independent cafes. But regardless, the organization hopes you spark kindness that lasts all year long!
